Ethos:

Ethos is when someone has the knowledge about what they are communicating in their writing or speech. Ethos is more then just having some knowledge on the subject the person has to have in-depth understanding of the subject.

1. Using an an interview with a DEA agent.
2. Using an Interview with a drug dealer.
3. Using an interview with a CBP agent.

Pathos:

Pathos is a way of evoking an emotional response with an argument.

Support bits

1. Using testimony from people who have lost loved ones to drug addiction.
2. Using stories from people who live in areas of mexico that deal with drug violence every day.
3. Using interviews with families of CBP or DEA agents that have lost their lives in the war on drugs.

Logos:

Logos uses reason to persuade or push a well organized argument.

Support bits

1. Using the amount of money being spent every year on the war on drugs to show what a waste it really is.
2. Using the increase in violence and crime in both the U.S. and other countries to show that the war on drugs is not stopping these things.
3. Using the increasing demand for drugs from the U.S. to show that the real problems that the war on drugs is not solving.
